Video 1 (.rm format). After the upper lobectomy, a pulmonary artery was pinched up with forceps and it was transected at the root, inducing active bleeding. After temporary control of the bleeding with a finger, the tip of ball electrode was applied to the bleeding point and moved in a circular motion. The bleeding point was closed immediately. The closed point did not bleed again even when scratched by a surgical instrument.
